Fairway alarms: protecting homes with garden perimeters bordering the golf course
In Fairway, the main security challenge lies within the large gardens. Long boundary walls, often screened by mature trees, can provide cover for an intruder to enter the property. On these deep stands, this means they can approach the house from any direction with time and concealment, making an alarm that only covers doors and windows a late warning.
Our approach is to treat the garden as the first line of defence. We install outdoor beams to create an early warning perimeter that detects movement long before anyone reaches the building. Tyson personally plans the placement of these beams to work around Fairway's established trees and foliage, preventing the false alarms that make people stop arming their systems.
Many households in Fairway have dogs that need the run of the garden. We make sure the alarm system works with them. By using pet-tolerant detectors and mounting outdoor beams above the height of the dogs, we make it possible to keep the perimeter armed while pets roam freely. This maintains security without the inconvenience of constant triggers.
Everything we install and repair, and how a job runs from first call to handover, is on our alarm systems page.
Questions from Fairway
My garden has large trees. Won't outdoor beams just cause false alarms?
Not with correct planning. We position the beams to avoid moving branches and dense foliage. We also use detectors that require two simultaneous triggers to confirm an intrusion, filtering out false alarms from birds or falling leaves.
Can we still arm the alarm when our dogs are in the garden?
Yes. We install outdoor beams high enough for your dogs to run underneath them without triggering the alarm. The system can be fully armed while your pets are outside in the garden.
