Screening visitors at Fairway's secluded garden entrances
In Fairway, the house is often set far back from the street behind a mature garden. This seclusion means a visitor at the gate is usually out of sight and earshot from the main building. The established trees and long boundary walls that give the suburb its character also present a challenge for wiring. Any intercom has to reliably connect the gate to a house that is a considerable distance away.
We recommend video intercoms so you can see who is at the gate before opening. These can be linked to multiple monitors inside the house, so you can answer from the kitchen or an upstairs bedroom. Where digging a trench would damage an established garden, we can fit an intercom that uses the mobile network to call your cellphones. This requires only power and a good mobile signal at the gate.
For anyone who has just moved into Fairway, the first step is to control who has existing access. Previous owners, their staff, or old service providers may still have remotes that can open the gate. We can clear the gate motor's memory completely, making sure only the remotes and codes you authorise will work. This gives you a clean slate from day one.
Everything we install and repair, and how a job runs from first call to handover, is on our intercoms and access control page.
Questions from Fairway
My garden is well-established. Do you have to dig it up to install a new video intercom?
Not necessarily. If trenching for a cable would damage your garden, we can install an intercom that uses the mobile network to call your phone. This just needs power and a reliable signal at the gate.
We've just bought our house. How do we know who still has remotes for the gate?
You don't, which is why we advise clearing the gate motor's receiver. We can wipe all previous remotes from the system, then re-register only the ones you have. This ensures no old remotes will work.
Tell us what you have in Fairway now and what is going wrong, and we will tell you plainly whether it needs a repair, an upgrade or a new intercom system, then put the quote in writing.
