Tyson Botha has worked in residential security since 2005. Before he started One Point, he spent five years contracted to some of South Africa’s biggest and most reputable security companies, planning and installing systems for homes, complexes and estates across Johannesburg.
In a city with Johannesburg’s crime rate, that is a long time at the sharp end. Tyson has seen how properties are really broken into, which systems hold up when they are tested, and which ones fail on the night they are needed. In 2010 he founded One Point Security & Maintenance to do the work his own way: owner-run, with no corners cut, and with himself accountable for every job.
