Different Types Of CCTV Security Cameras

For those with a very tight budget, there is the option of buying dummy or fake CCTV security cameras. These look exactly like the real working CCTV security cameras but they are not actually connected to anything or recording anything. They are very visible and their purpose is to deter potential criminals. It is a fact that a criminal will not usually target a business or home with obvious security measures in place. They are a lot more likely to target vulnerable or easy targets.

Wired or fixed CCTV security cameras come in many different sizes, shapes and models. The type of camera you buy will depend on what you need it for. For example, you would opt for a night vision model if you plan to monitor low light areas.

There are also wireless CCTV cameras and CCTV cameras that are hidden. These are great if you want to monitor an area without being visible. For example, you may hide a wireless CCTV camera in a teddy bear to monitor the babysitter when you are not at home. These do tend to be a bit more expensive than the wired CCTV cameras.

IP CCTV security cameras are the newest and latest trend. These are great because they allow you to log on to the video feed from the cameras via the internet. They also are a lot quicker to install and much more convenient.
