Hurl park alarms: managing access for homes, guest houses and complexes
Hurl Park's properties are a distinct mix of freestanding homes, guest houses, and complexes like Dorset Place. This variety means there is no single security layout. A classic house on Cotswold Drive might have a deep garden behind a long wall, while a nearby townhouse shares perimeters. Guest houses, common in the area due to its proximity to Rosebank, have the added complexity of managing constant visitor access without compromising the security of private areas.
Our approach adapts to each property type. For freestanding homes, we focus on early detection in the garden with outdoor beams. In complexes, we secure the unit's immediate perimeter: the doors and ground-floor windows that face its private garden or the complex grounds. For a guest house, we layer the system, creating zones that cover reception, private quarters, and individual guest entrances, making sure the right areas are armed at the right times.
The most important feature for many Hurl Park properties is partitioning. This allows an alarm system to be split into separate, independently controlled areas. A guest house can arm its office while guests come and go, and a homeowner can provide a separate code for a garden cottage. It gives control over who can access and arm which parts of the property, which is important in a suburb with so many multi-use stands.
Everything we install and repair, and how a job runs from first call to handover, is on our alarm systems page.
Questions from Hurl Park
We run a guest house in Hurl Park. Can we secure the office at night while guests can still access their rooms?
Yes. We partition the alarm into separate areas. The private office and back-of-house can be armed independently using their own codes, while guest areas remain disarmed for their access.
I've just bought a house on Cotswold Drive with an old alarm. Does it need to be replaced?
Not always. Tyson will test the existing panel and sensors. If they are still functional, we can service the system, replace the battery, and change all the codes. We only quote to replace equipment that is faulty or no longer supported.
