Is An Automatic Gate Essential

When answering this question on impulse, one would definitely say yes. They make life easier and are convenient. Who wants to run to close the gate when late for a meeting early in the morning?
With this in mind, consider the following scenario:
You have been placed project leader on a R150 000 program your company aims to implement. You were busy with it for three months before you and your creative team could come up with a plan of action. The day of truth has arrived and your anxiety levels have short up to a point where you feel dysfunctional. You find your washing powder in the refrigerator, toothbrush within your wine collection and laundry in the bin. Today was the day you pitch the idea to potential investors and make your boss proud. Problem: due to your recent disorientation, you forgot the proposal on your study desk and only have five minutes to dash home to be able to make it back for your meeting. It is raining profusely and as a result of lighting, the lights are out and your electronic gate won’t work. Could anything else go wrong?

This example is just to help you understand that some electric luxuries, such as automatic gates, are things we can do without. Instead of an electric gate how about use solar power as a source for your gate. It has been proven that South Africa has 263 days of sunshine and even when we do not see the sun, such as at night, its energy is still prevalent.

While many of us are tired of hearing about the carbon footprint, solar energy benefits you as an individual mostly because it’s free! Your electricity tariff will reduce dramatically and save you a couple of thousands to help you breathe easy. It is important to remember that even though we are used to doing things a certain way, change is consistent and can be good. Go take a look around your house and I’m sure you’ll find numerous other things you can change to save yourself some money and more importantly our planet.
