Technology undoubtedly has its benefits aplenty. In almost every sphere of our existence we witness its rewards. Just by taking a look around you, you are bound to see technology at work, a true reflection of man’s brilliance. Almost everywhere we go we are welcomed by some sort of automated machinery specifically designed to fulfill our wants and serve our needs. One of the technological brilliances we honestly have to pay homage to, has to be the under-appreciated automatic gate.
Automatic gates serve much more than just the purpose of clarifying a point of entry. One very cold evening, in the middle of winter, while perched in front of your fire place, enjoying a really good movie over popcorn, you do not want to find yourself having to get up, and be on your way to open the gate for some unannounced guest. After responding on the intercom and ascertaining who it is, all you do is click on your remote, and voila, the gate opens and all this, from a good 40metres away.
That is just one of the pleasures of having an automatic gate at your service. But then again, for these kinds of goodies to keep serving you efficiently, you have to take very good care of them. Oil your gate periodically, give it a good clean sometimes, service the motor and replace any worn out parts. Parts are bound to suffer from wear and tear like we all do. Show some appreciation for your servant. Do not be aggressive when handling it. Beautify it with some fresh paint now and again. It does not have to be a different color all the time though. The fewer times you change the color, if at all, the better.
It is those small little things that we hardly consider, and we take for granted that we should just take some time to honor, by giving them some sort of attention through maintenance and servicing. There are many companies that service and repair your garage doors. That could save us a lot of trouble later on. If we cannot be thankful for small things, how are we going to be thankful for the big ones? Let us just be thankful for gate automatic.
