Install CCTV

Install CCTV or do not install CCTV. This is question faced by households all around the world. It used to be a question only faced by supermarkets and clothing stores, but now Mr Jones next door is asking too. To install CCTV is not difficult and it is not too expensive either. The benefits of taking the time to install CCTV are quite clear. The security of your family and your home is always going to be a priority, and if all you have to do is install a relatively inexpensive CCTV system, to get a better rest a night, then what is stopping you.

To install a CCTV system in your home or business is not the big, complicated operation that we would tend to assume it is. Any reasonably intelligent person with half an ounce of savvy could install a CCTV system in a matter of hours. It just a question of popping down to your local DIY store; picking up the necessary bits and following the clear instructions on how to install your own CCTV system.

The ease of installation has meant that people, being the slightly paranoid beings that they are, are putting CCTV everywhere. You can install CCTV camera at your front gate, you can have one pointing down at your washing line, install one in the driveway if you like and the creepier among us would think nothing of installing a CCTV camera in the bathroom (so no one can deny being the one who left the mess, of course).

Yes it is easy to install a CCTV system, but does that mean that you should. Yes it gives you peace of mind to be able to visibly check up on every area in your life, at the click of a button, but would it not be cheaper and more conducive to a happy society, to not install the cctv system, but instead, work on having a better relationship with your neighbour. This might be a dream that is never going to be realised, but let us not forget it worked for our parents and everyone before that too.
